Kodiak Robotics has taken another major step forward in the race toward fully autonomous trucking. As reported in its latest quarterly update, trucks powered by the Kodiak Driver completed over 5,200 cumulative hours of paid driverless operations by the end of Q3 2025.
These operations were conducted with no human in the cab, primarily in the Permian Basin, where Kodiak’s AI-driven autonomous system is deployed at commercial scale.

A Key Industry Metric: Customer Willingness to Pay
Paid driverless hours are one of the most important indicators for any autonomous vehicle company.
They show that customers are willing to pay for fully driverless freight services, validating real-world demand far beyond pilot projects and demonstrations.
Q3 2025 Highlights
• 5,200+ hours of paid driverless operations
• Fully driverless missions, no safety driver
• Operations concentrated in the Permian Basin
• Metrics are cumulative as of September 30, 2025
This milestone strengthens Kodiak’s position as a leader in the commercialization of autonomous heavy-duty trucking.
