Peel Regional Police are investigating a Brampton towing company after receiving multiple complaints involving vehicles allegedly being towed without authorization from parking lots across the city.

According to police, the investigation began on May 1 after several members of the public reported that their vehicles had been removed from parking lots in Brampton without approval from property management. The vehicles were later discovered at a private storage facility.
As a result of the investigation, 39-year-old Jaswinder Singh Saini of Brampton has been charged with three counts of motor vehicle theft. Investigators allege that Saini worked for a towing company operating under several names, including A1 Flames Recovery and Towing, A1 Flames Towing, A1 Towing and Alpha One Towing.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing and are now appealing to the public for additional victims connected to what they describe as an auto theft investigation.
Anyone who believes their vehicle may have been unlawfully towed or stored, or who paid fees under those circumstances, is encouraged to contact Peel Regional Police immediately.
The case also renews concerns surrounding controversial towing practices in Ontario, particularly within parts of the Greater Toronto Area towing industry, which has faced increased scrutiny in recent years.
