Toronto, ON – October 1, 2025 — Trucking HR Canada officially welcomed 18 new organizations to its Women’s Leadership Accord during a special ceremony today at the THRC Hits the Roadnetworking event in Toronto.

This latest group brings the total number of signatories to 49, reflecting a growing industry commitment to building more equitable, safe, and empowering workplaces for women in trucking and logistics.

“Once again, leading organizations are making trucking and logistics a career destination – especially for women who have not traditionally considered careers in our sector,” said Angela Splinter, CEO of Trucking HR Canada. “The Accord celebrates their leadership and provides tools for others ready to advance gender equity in the workplace.”

The following organizations received their Certificate of Excellence today:

• Brian Kurtz Trucking

• Cardinal Couriers

• Challenger Motor Freight

• Erb Transport Limited

• Fortigo Freight Services Inc.

• GS Group

• Home Hardware Stores Limited

• J&R Hall Transport Inc.

• Joseph Haulage Canada Corp.

• One For Freight

• Rosedale Transport Limited

• Seaboard Transport Group

• Steed Standard Transport Limited

• Tandet

• TransPro Freight Systems Ltd.

• United Van Lines (Canada) Ltd.

• Wellington Group of Companies

• Woodcock Transportation Group

The Accord program launched earlier this year and is structured around four key pillars: gender equity, inclusivity, safety, and empowerment. Participating employers demonstrate leadership through actionable commitments in recruitment, retention, health and safety, and community involvement.

Thanks to these and other forward-thinking companies, women working in the sector increased by 27% between 2016 and 2021, with over 26,000 more women joining the industry during that time.

Intake for the Women’s Leadership Accord remains open. The project is delivered in partnership with the Women’s Trucking Federation of Canada (WTFC) and is supported by Women and Gender Equality Canada.
