Amazon Semi Runs Red Light in Visalia — Driver Seriously Injured After Fiery Collision

Early Saturday morning, around 1:47 a.m., tragedy struck at the intersection of Riggin Avenue & Plaza Drive in Visalia. Police report that an Amazon semi ran a red light and slammed into another northbound truck.

The Amazon driver was trapped inside his rig and had to be extricated by firefighters before being rushed to Kaweah Health with serious injuries.

Fortunately, the driver of the other truck escaped unharmed.

The Visalia Police Traffic Unit has launched an investigation into the cause of this fiery crash.
