The C.A.T. North America Safety and Risk Management teams gathered this week in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, for their Annual Safety & Risk Management Conference, focused on hands-on learning and continuous improvement.

Safety managers from Canada, the U.S., and Mexico came together to participate in a NATMI certification program, a prestigious credential that underscores the company’s commitment to investigative excellence and road safety leadership.

Throughout the week, the teams immersed themselves in:

• Post-Accident Investigation Training – building essential response and reporting skills;

• Real-World Simulations – applying investigation techniques in practical, high-fidelity scenarios;

• Best Practice Sharing – exchanging experiences among divisions including C.A.T. Inc., GTL, Penner International, Rich, ISI, Transit McMahon, Groupex, and SWFL;

• Collaborative Problem-Solving – identifying challenges and designing forward-looking safety solutions.

Participants also toured the Coteau-du-Lac terminal and the Vaudreuil headquarters, where they met company owners Daniel, Karine, and Annie Goyette, who addressed the current challenges facing the transportation sector and reiterated the company’s commitment to employee well-being and operational excellence.

Every session, simulation, and discussion reaffirmed one key message: when our teams come together, our collective ability to protect our drivers and uphold the highest safety standards grows stronger than ever.
