The morning after Caledon’s Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) traffic initiative, a member of the town’s traffic enforcement unit pulled over a dump truck for an obstructed license plate.

Upon further inspection, the plate turned out to be the least of the driver’s concerns. The vehicle had an expired annual safety certification, bald tires, and several additional violations.

Both the driver and the company were charged, and the truck was taken out of service on the spot.

Police stress the importance of regular maintenance and compliance with safety standards to keep Ontario’s roads safe for everyone.
