This year’s focus is on reckless, careless, or dangerous driving — defined as driving with a willful disregard for safety or without due care and attention for others on the road.

According to recent statistics, 42,514 people died in U.S. traffic crashes in 2022. Canada reported 1,931 fatalities, while Mexico recorded 15,979 road deaths that same year. CVSA’s mission is to reduce these alarming numbers through safety campaigns like Operation Safe Driver Week.
