Halton, June 5, 2025 – Crime Stoppers of Halton has officially launched a major campaign to combat human trafficking in the Greater Golden Horseshoe Area — one of Canada’s most active corridors for trafficking activity.
The campaign unites law enforcement agencies at the regional, provincial, and federal levels, including the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS), Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), and Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation (MTO).
The effort is further strengthened by key private-sector partners such as ONroute, the Women’s Trucking Federation of Canada, and Loblaw Transport, whose support has been instrumental in bringing this initiative to life.
The campaign aims to disrupt trafficking operations and provide protection and support to victims, particularly those vulnerable within the transportation sector.
