On March 8, as International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world, Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is recognizing the remarkable women working within the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Program.
In a message marking the occasion, the MTO paid tribute to the women whose expertise, leadership and dedication help keep Ontario’s roads safe every day. Through their work in enforcement and oversight, these professionals play a vital role in upholding safety standards across the commercial transportation sector and protecting all road users.

The ministry’s tribute also shines a light on the growing presence and influence of women in a field long viewed as male-dominated. By highlighting their contribution, the MTO is acknowledging the essential role these women continue to play in road safety, compliance and the strength of Ontario’s transportation industry.
