Calgary, Alberta – May 27, 2025 — Loblaw Transport proudly joined trucking professionals from across the country at this week’s Bridging the Barriers Conference, hosted by the Women’s Trucking Federation of Canada (WTFC) in Calgary. The two-day event focused on dismantling obstacles faced by women in the transportation sector and promoting equity and inclusion in the industry.
As a long-time advocate for diversity in trucking, Loblaw Transport reaffirmed its commitment to fostering opportunities for women behind the wheel and beyond. The conference provided a powerful platform to share stories, build networks, and spark change.
Among the highlights of the event was Amber Babington, one of Loblaw Transport’s exceptional drivers, who took the stage as a panel speaker. With honesty and passion, Amber shared her real-life experiences as a woman navigating the challenges and rewards of life on the road. Her voice was both impactful and inspiring, and her presence on the panel left a lasting impression.
“We’re incredibly proud of Amber for representing us and using her story to uplift others,” said a spokesperson from Loblaw Transport. “Events like these matter. They help shape a more inclusive future for the trucking industry.”
Loblaw Transport extends its thanks to the WTFC for organizing this important gathering and applauds all those working to break down barriers and empower women in transportation.
