August brings great news for the large-scale bridge project linking Senneville and Vaudreuil-Dorion. Several critical milestones have now been reached, thanks to the remarkable efforts of crews working on site.
•All 233 piles have been fully embedded into the bedrock.
•The abutments on the Senneville side are now complete; just one remains on the Vaudreuil-Dorion side.
•20 out of 46 bridge piers have been poured with concrete.
•Over 100 beams have already been installed, out of the 845 planned.
Work is also advancing near Highway 40 in the Senneville sector, including the development of a new drainage system and the reconfiguration of the westbound highway lanes and service roads between boulevard des Anciens-Combattants and chemin de Senneville.
Despite the magnitude of the project, both the timeline and budget remain on track. The first structure is still expected to open by the end of 2026.
