More Than $4M in Cocaine Seized During Truck Inspection on Ontario’s Highway 402

A routine truck inspection conducted by Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation has led to a major drug seizure and the arrest of a London, Ontario man in Lambton County.


According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the incident occurred on December 23, 2025, when an inspection by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) at the Highway 402 truck scales in Plympton-Wyoming prompted police to attend the scene.


Officers, including Lambton County OPP members and a border enforcement task force, conducted an investigation of a commercial vehicle. Police say approximately 137 kilograms (302 pounds) of suspected cocaine were seized, with an estimated street value of $4.1 million, along with Canadian and U.S. currency and other related items.


Police report that Harmeet Dhamoon, 43, of London, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and importation of cocaine. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on December 30, 2025.


The OPP is asking anyone with information related to this investigation to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
