Montreal, August 4, 2025 – The Port of Montreal proudly welcomed the MSC Daisy this weekend, a major container ship with a capacity of 6,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), marking its first-ever call at the port.

This milestone highlights the Port of Montreal’s ability to accommodate large-scale vessels and its growing strategic importance in Eastern Canada’s supply chain.

“The arrival of the MSC Daisy demonstrates that the Port of Montreal is equipped to meet the rising demands of international maritime trade, while further establishing its role as a vital logistics hub for the country,” said a spokesperson from the Port Authority.

This visit reflects ongoing efforts to modernize port infrastructure and streamline the flow of goods destined for Quebec, Canada, and North America.
