Purolator has officially entered its busiest time of the year—the pre-holiday shipping rush. The company expects to process more than 52 million packages between November 1 and December 24, 2025, averaging an impressive 1.3 million parcels every day.

During last year’s peak period, Purolator teams travelled nearly 18.3 million kilometres nationwide — using vans, trucks, and even electric cargo bikes.

To illustrate the scale, the company notes that this distance equals:

48 one-way trips to the Moon

3,905 one-way trips from the North Pole to Ottawa

3,325 coast-to-coast crossings across Canada

457 trips around the Earth

A greener fleet for 2025

A major update this year: Purolator has added 250 fully electric vehicles to its fleet as part of its long-term commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

“With our network ready for the holiday season, businesses can ship with confidence and customers will receive their deliveries across Canada and beyond,” said Jacqueline Jennings, Purolator’s Director of Retail Sales.
