North Bay, Ontario – September 10, 2025
A serious crash occurred yesterday on Highway 63 northeast of North Bay, involving two commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) and one passenger car.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police (#NorthBayOPP), one CMV crossed the centre line, striking the second truck, which then collided with the passenger vehicle.
The impact scattered logs across the highway, causing a complete blockage for several hours.
One individual sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital. A 60-year-old driver from Frankford has been charged with careless driving.
Thanks to the quick and coordinated efforts of emergency services, towing crews, and the Ministry of Transportation (MTO), the highway was safely reopened at 9:15 p.m.
Authorities thank the public for their patience during the extended closure and remind all drivers to stay alert and drive safe.
