Indiana State Police say they removed approximately $9 million worth of cocaine from the streets following a traffic stop on I-70 near Cloverdale in Putnam County.

According to police, a Criminal Interdiction Trooper stopped a truck driver for speeding. During the stop, the trooper reported observing multiple criminal indicators suggesting the driver was operating below industry standards.

The driver, identified as 27-year-old Harmandeep Singh of Bakersfield, California, consented to a vehicle search. Inside the truck, officers found several duffle bags and cardboard boxes containing approximately 178 kilograms of cocaine.

Singh was arrested and is currently being held at the Putnam County jail.
